Created in 2017, when Pomellato celebrated its 50th anniversary with the now-discontinued Ritratto collection, these ear clips treat each gemstone as a portrait: frontal, architectural and designed to command attention. Ritratto means “portrait” in Italian, and these topaz face outwards like two Renaissance miniature works of art.
Each softened rectangular stone moves between petrol, teal and ink blue across its broad facets. A polished gold claw and a diagonally opposed, diamond-pavé claw create deliberate asymmetry, while the warm rose gold setting intensifies the topaz’s cooler tones.
