Created in 2017 to celebrate Pomellato’s 50th anniversary, Ritratto presents each gemstone as a portrait: frontal, architectural and designed to command attention. Ritratto means “portrait” in Italian, and here the lapis lazuli faces outwards like a Renaissance portrait miniature.
