NOT FOR THE FAINT-HEARTED: A MONUMENTAL ITALIAN BANGLE built around three exceptionally large, checkerboard-faceted topaz. Framed by architectural, diamond-set goldwork, with a diametre of 7.5cm, this jewel serves spectacle, scale and colour.
Estimated to have been created in the 2000s, the bracelet captures the adventurous essence of contemporary Italian high jewellery. Its design is powerful yet every element has been considered to create balance, rhythm and light around the wrist.
A vast, high-domed central topaz glows in deep reddish-cognac tones, flanked by two smaller stones shifting through amber and burnt orange. Colour breaks into flashes of warmth with every movement.
Flared white gold collars create a dramatic framework. The radiating galleries are paved with diamonds, while further diamond-set ribs extend along the bangle's tapering shoulders. The contrast is out there: translucent fields of saturated colour against the cool brilliance of diamonds and rhodium-finished gold.
